ADRIAN HAREWOOD
Adrian Harewood is the host of CBC News: Ottawa Late Night, which airs weeknights at 10:55 p.m. following CBC The National on CBC Television. Before making the move to television in October 2009, Adrian spent three years as the host of Ottawa's favourite afternoon radio program All In A Day.
Adrian attended elementary and high school at Ashbury College, and was involved in community radio at CKCU (Carleton University) and CHUO (University of Ottawa) in the mid-90s. The Ottawa-born Harewood's passion for radio continued when he moved to Montreal. He was station manager of campus/community radio station CKUT - Radio McGill - after studying Political Theory and History at McGill University.
For ten years, Adrian was a Toronto-based writer and broadcaster. He has hosted many national programs on CBC Radio and CBC Television including As it Happens, Sounds Like Canada, The Current and counterSpin, as well as Toronto shows Metro Morning, Ontario Morning, and Here and Now. He was also the host of The Actors, The Directors and Literati as seen on BRAVO and PBS.
Adrian has a keen interest in community involvement, volunteering his time in both Montreal and Toronto. He is a past Board Member of Central Neighbourhood House in Toronto, and was on the Board of Head and Hands, helping to provide youth services in Montreal. Adrian was also a Youth Program Worker providing counseling for at-risk students in six Toronto high schools.

Michael was born and raised in Ottawa. Educated in both publicly funded school systems in Ottawa (Catholic for elementary and Public for secondary), he is also a graduate of both local universities. His two children are also graduates of the local public school system.
Michael articled with the predecessor to Ernst & Young in Ottawa and then became the controller of the software division of Digital Equipment of Canada. Michael joined the education sector as manager of financial services for the Carleton District School Board in 1986 and then Superintendent of Business and Treasurer of the predecessor to the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board in 1996.
Michael has at various times has had responsibility for most of the non-academic operations of school boards, other than the Human Resources department, including facilities and transportation. He has seen the OCDSB through the Harris education funding changes, the run up to provincial supervision and then the return to local governance of education.
Michael is a member of various boards and advisory groups to provincial bodies, including the Ontario Public School Boards Association (Finance Advisory Committee), the Council of School Business Officials (currently co-chair) and the Ontario Association of School Business Officials (a previous chair of the Finance Committee). He is been a member of various expert panels on accounting for school boards (at the provincial and national level), program costing, funding models and administrative issues.
Michael is on the boards of directors of Your Credit Union, an eastern Ontario based open bond credit union, and the Ontario School Board Insurance Exchange, which provides insurance (property and public liability) for most of Ontario’s 72 school boards.
